The first solo effort from the west coast's most celebrated producer, Dre introduces us to his lyrical prowess, Snoop Doggy Dogg and his love for the greener things in life (quite a contradiction to his N.W.A days that had Dre telling us that he "doesn't smoke weed or cess cos its known to give a brother brain damage..."). Ah well maybe he's better for it as this goes down as number 9 on my list of top ten albums of the 90's with classic cuts such as Let Me Ride, Wit Dre Day and everyones favourite old school Dre and Snoop joint; Nuthin' But a "G" Thang.
